Vanguard's Australian Property Securities Index Fund provides a low cost way to invest in a portfolio of around 20 - 30 listed property securities across the retail, office, industrial, tourism and infrastructure sectors.

The Vanguard Australian Property Securities Index Fund seeks to match the return (income and capital appreciation) of the S&P/ASX 300 A-REIT Index before taking into account fund fees and expenses.
The index
The S&P/ASX 300 A-REIT Index comprises between 20 and 30 property trust securities listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), however, the number of securities in the index may vary from time to time.
What is this fund's investment strategy?
The fund will hold all of the property securities in the index (at most times) allowing for individual security weightings to vary marginally from the index from time to time. The fund may invest in property securities that have been or are expected to be included in the index.
