The Fund aims to provide a return (before fees, costs and taxes) that exceeds the S&P/ASX 300 Accumulation Index over the medium to long term. The suggested investment timeframe is five years or more.

What is this fund's investment philosophy?

BTIM seeks to deliver consistently superior performance by exploiting investment opportunities that arise due to the inefficient market pricing of securities. Our goal is to invest in strong businesses that are generating cashflow, but are currently valued incorrectly by the market.

Meet the investment team and portfolio manager

BTIM's nine-member Equity Strategies team is one of the largest in the Australian funds management industry. The portfolio manager for the Fund is Jack Chemello who has more than 11 years' industry experience. Jack joined the funds management business of BT Financial Group, now BT Investment Management in May 2003. He has been responsible for managing BT's Imputation, Geared Imputation and Ethical Funds since March 2007.

Prior to that, Jack covered numerous sectors in the Australian market including banking, diversified financial services, media, utilities and listed property, and in addition to his portfolio management role at BT, he also retains responsibility for coverage of the Australian banking sector.
