Matthew Sherwood
Senior Manager, Investment Markets Research
Perpetual Investments
Matthew Sherwood joined Perpetual Investments in May 2005 and is Senior Manager, Investment Markets Research. In his role, Matthew conducts research on and acts as an external voice on the Australian and global economies, financial markets and portfolio strategies. Matthew also works with clients to communicate Perpetual's investment process and portfolio management.
Matthew has extensive financial industry experience as an economist, investment strategist and central banker. Prior to working at Perpetual Investment, he was Investment Research Manager at ING Investment Management and before that he was a Senior Economist with the Reserve Bank of Australia, where he gained significant experience in monetary policy formulation and undertook detailed research into the equity risk premium, currency markets and business investment. Matthew has a Bachelor of Business from the University of Newcastle and a Masters Degree in Economics (Finance and Econometrics) from the University of Sydney. Matthew has also held a lecturing position with the Securities Institute of Australia since 1997 and has lectured at Case Western Reserve University in the United States.
Chris Caton

Chris joined BT Financial Group in 1999 to provide advice on the implications of economic developments, including major economic statistics, policy pronouncements and major political developments for financial markets. He is also BT's major presenter to clients on economic matters.
Chris was Chief Economist at Bankers Trust Australia from 1991 until 1999. From 1994 to 1997, he was also Chairman of the Indicative Planning Council, which advised the Government on matters relating to the housing industry. Previously Chris has worked in the Treasury, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and for an economic consulting firm in the United States.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of Adelaide and a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania.
Anne Anderson
Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income
UBS Global Asset Management
Anne Anderson has 26 years of investment industry experience and currently has overall responsibility for the fixed income investment management activities of UBS Global Asset Management in Australia.
Anne joined UBS Global Asset Management in early 1993 and has gained extensive knowledge of Australian and global fixed income markets, through a number of investment and client management roles within the business in Australia.
Prior to joining UBS, Anne worked for 11 years in the Treasury and Finance Group of Pacific Power where she gained extensive experience in interest rate and currency management across asset and liability portfolios.
Anne has a BEc and MApp from Macquarie University (Australia).
Glenn Mumford
Senior markets columnist

Glenn is the senior markets columnist for the Australian Financial Review.
Prior to taking up this role in late 2007, Glenn gained some 30 years financial markets experience to board level, in equities (retail and institutional) and futures. During this time he worked for BZW/ABN AMRO (now RBS), Swiss Bank Corp (now UBS) and Merrill Lynch in both Australia and Europe.
His career includes management and operating experience in sales, research and corporate finance.
Glenn served on the board of the Securities and Derivatives Industry Association from 2002 to 2006.
