What information will be required to open an account?

The type of information needed will depend on the account you are opening.  Generally you will need the following:

For personal accounts:

• Personal details and Tax File Number (TFN)
• Linked bank account details. BSB and account number of an existing Australian bank account in your name.

For business accounts:

• General business details including address, TFN, ABN, and authorised signatory details
• Linked bank account details. BSB and account number of an existing Australian bank account in the business name.

For DIY Super:

• Details of DIY super fund, the fund TFN, ABN, and authorised signatory details
• Linked bank account details. BSB and account number of an existing Australian bank account in the name of the Super Fund.

For joint accounts

• Personal details and Tax File Number (TFN) for both parties on this joint account
• Linked bank account details. BSB and account number of an existing Australian bank account in your name.

Accounts on behalf of another

• Personal details for you and the other party and your Tax File Number (TFN)
• Linked bank account details. BSB and account number of an existing Australian bank account in your name.

Trust account

• Details of the trust, the trust TFN, ABN, and authorised signatory details
• Linked bank account details. BSB and account number of an existing Australian bank account in the name of the Trust.
